More than 20 poultry experts to visit Poultry Health Today news desk at IPPE
ATLANTA, Jan. 25, 2016 — More than 20 poultry experts and industry opinion leaders will be interviewed over the next two days at the Poultry Health Today news desk located in Exhibit Hall A of the International Production and Processing Expo.
Confirmed guests for Tuesday and Wednesday include Phil Stayer, DVM, Sanderson Farms; Scott Gustin, DVM, Tyson; Steve Davis, DVM, Colorado Quality Research; Greg Mathis, PhD, Southern Poultry Research; Suzanne Dougherty, DVM, Alabama; Dan McChesney, PhD, FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine; David Swayne, DVM, USDA Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory; Ashley Peterson, PhD, National Chicken Council; Richard Sellers, PAS, American Feed Ingredient Association; Gary Thornton, Poultry USA magazine; and several university and extension experts.
Looking to get a head start, Poultry Health Today’s news crew will visit the International Poultry Scientific Forum to interview other poultry health specialists, including Don Ritter, DVM, Mountaire Farms, and Mark Jackwood, PhD, Charles Hofacre, PhD, and Claudia Dunkley, PhD, University of Georgia.
Interview topics will range from gut health, respiratory disease and avian flu, to food safety, animal welfare, antibiotic-free production, consumer perceptions, the industry’s carbon footprint and FDA’s veterinary feed directive.
Over the next few days and weeks, edited videos will be posted to Poultry Health Today’s colorful website and its new mobile app, which was launched yesterday and is now available through the App Store and Google Play
