E. coli: Costly secondary infection more a threat with reduced antibiotic usage
Once an isolated problem in long-lived birds, E. coli has become more prevalent in broiler and turkey flocks as poultry companies reduce or eliminate antibiotics in the the hatchery and in grower feeds.
