Preparing for the VFD: Challenges at the feed mill
While US poultry producers and veterinarians are working diligently to prepare for the FDA’s veterinary feed directive, poultry feed mills expect to face challenges with managing inventory, processing orders, maintaining records and handling deliveries. Richard Sellers of the American Feed Industry Association talked about these hurdles with Poultry Health Today and what veterinarians and producers can do to assist feed mills with the transition.
